In 1880, two Polish traders, Mr. Roozinski and Janikowski who established in Bota, now one of the oldest parishes in the diocese, invited the Spanish Jesuits who were working in Fernando Po to Cameroon. The Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral is the poster child project of the Diocese of Buea. The Construction work started many years ago but has been slowed down over the years due to lack of funds. The Co-cathedral which sits in Molyko Deanary occupies a 1-hectare land and will house about 5000 Christians upon completion. It will be the biggest church in the entire Diocese of Buea. Christians can support the project by donating either a window, chair or tiles.
